That got old quickly, the Nexus is dying and not dependable, and half of my apps would cause it to restart. I needed a new phone, and I wanted something affordable yet quality.

I used to love my Motorola phones back in the day I treasured my pink Razr lol so when the G7 series recently were released, they definitely caught my eye.

My main issue with any phone ever is battery life, so the G7 Power was a no-brainer for me. Unfortunately, the US version wasn’t the most impressive for me.

Then I found this beauty. Same specs as the G7, but still with that mAh battery. Can I just say that the Violet is out of this world gorgeous?!

The photos do not do it justice. It is a fingerprint magnet though, as the one photo demonstrates, but it came with a clear case so no biggie.

Oddly enough, this phone has the biggest screen I’ve ever owned, yet feels smaller than both my iPhone 7 Plus and the Nexus 6. It’s very narrow, which is taking some getting used to.

I have tiny hands, so it’s actually really nice, and it fits nicer in my pockets which as a tiny woman, I only get access to tiny pockets in my clothes.

Beyond the aesthetics, this is a pretty beastly phone imo.

Android 9. I don’t know what the other reviewers are complaining about, unless they can’t read that it doesn’t work with CDMA carriers, which sounds like a personal problem.

Oh, and Moto gestures are the most amazing thing ever, the fingerprint reader and facial recognition work flawlessly, and it has dual SIM support which is awesome.

All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase. The only reason I knocked off a star is the missing NFC. I see no reason to leave it out, they are standard in almost every other phone out now.

I’ll live without it, but it would’ve been nice. Other than that, you can’t go wrong with this version. TL;DR: This phone is awesome, and buying international unlocked phones is so much smarter than buying overpriced American phones.

Plus the Violet is super pretty!! Incoming calls are not detected.
