No doubt xiaomi is greater since Mi 4. High end device with fair price. But the thing is where is their pride for design.

Appreciate mi 3 had a unique design, not that great but it is unique.

Later devices their design is not worth for applause. Their design is great copy. It has great design. Mi5 looks like an update to the Mi Note from last year.

Mi Note introduced the curved glass display to the world and got plenty of praise for that. Don’t buy into all that anti-Xiaomi marketing by Apple and Samsung.

Those two are the real copycats. You guys can say whatever you want but i will stick with my Xiaomi Redmi 2. The thing that this phone has but Mi5 didnt is the sd card storage and removable battery.

There was one sale in Xiaomi website that sold the batteries for 30 cent USD!! So i bought ten and this changed my life. About Mi 5 Pro, hell yeah GB of internal storage is more than enough.

Apparantly it would be better if they have removable batteries and give some free batteries and external charger with it. BUT if compared to S7 Edge, clearly the edge have that edge feature.

Plus, Mi5 should push the display up to p or 4k. The technology is there but Xiaomi didnt used it which kind of bummer but thats okay though if thats gonna save the battery.

If none of new phone next year have all of these, im just gonna stick by my Redmi 2. Money is not the problem though. I dont wanna wait for USB charging on the phone for 2 hours because my business required me to stay on the phone almost all the time.

The p or 4k display makes no sense on such small screen. What wil you use it for? Watching the wallpaper all the time?

To drain battery faster? Iam using xiaomi mi3 for 2 years. I mean no decreasing in quality. Skipping the mi4 waiting for mi Fyi i bought galaxy nexus with usd and xiaomi mi3 with the same price.

But the nexus broke so fast and work so slow. Price and quality didnt match for samsung. That is based ob my experience. Acording to the specs it seems like a very nice device, one of the best.

Can’t wait to see a full review with it and definetly a comparison with galaxy s7. I would buy one for sure, if i had this kind of money any voluntire to make gifts to a xiaomi fan?

I hope I’m right about the trend but it certainly seems to be that way so far. I really agree with surya kumar. I really have bad experience with my Redmi note 3.

The default Play store is Mi store not google store and we really not to root our phone to make it default and it takes a lot of efforts to do so.

The other way is to ask permission to redmi website to do it.

The Redmi Note 3 is intended for the Chinese Market only. There’s a “No-Google” policy enforced by the authorities there, that’s why Xiaomi RN3 only has the Mi Store and Xiaomi isn’t obliged to give us an “easy” way to install GAPPs as they are already doing what is required by the Chinese government.

However the Mi5 is intended for international release so it’s safe to assume that it will include GAPPs and Google Services once shipped.
