Other solution is to reinstall your phone with the last firmware and not install SWR10 on your phone Your wifi wil work again You will use the SWR10 when the problem will be resolved So I tried this method and worked for me on the first attempt but after 1 day the problem appeared again.

So I tried this method again and here is how is going on: I turn off wifi optimisation and turn it on again after 1min. Reboot my phone. When it turn on wifi works as I see data transfering and occasionally app update occuring but when I see smartband connecting wifi stops working.

Tried another thing and done the same thing but with bluetooth off. Worked like a charm.

The problem only appeared after I updated to new firmware the last one for my region. I don’t think it’s your internet, or anything else apart from your Sony Xperia.

Today I’ve had ythe same problem but my Xperia X dosent do this often at all.

I found it strange that both of my Sony devices WiFi connection got lost at the same time. It might be a fault in your phone but my phone did this today and it never does this so you may have dropped it or knocked some hardware out of place which may be causing dodgy signals because i move my phone all the time and in some cases I drop it and my PS4 is always being moved around from house to house.

I have tested my WiFi with other devices and they all get excellent connectivity and signal. My z2 is either getting stuck at the “obtaining IP address” stage or telling me it has avoided a poor connection, despite that I have that option disabled.

I’ve tried turning everything off and on, I’ve tried forgetting the network and reconnecting. I’ve tried disconnecting my swr10 smartband as I read another post that suggested it caused problems.

Nothing works. It simply won’t connect to my home WiFi.

I read a post suggesting the firmware requires a downgrade but I am not technically minded and I am afraid to try as this is a new phone and I don’t want to void the warranty.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I went into wifi advanced settings, turned off wifi optimisation. Then turned it back on again, then rebooted phone. Wifi has been connecting perfectly since doing that, but as I don’t understand phones I can’t offer an explanation as to why!

It’s been working fine for 3 days now. I will keep it under review but this is worth a try for anyone else in same situation.
